Registration Fee

PRECONFERENCE-Please join us for our first ever pre-conference event! Presented by Julia Gannaway, Lynn Ross & Gannaway, LLP. This half-day session will focus on the transition from private to public sector human resources, and will include a variety of topics relevant to public sector human resources professionals. Whether you are new or would just like to learn more, this session is for you! The fee covers a continental breakfast.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE-The fee includes all conference sessions; Wednesday continental breakfast, lunch, and evening reception; Thursday continental breakfast and lunch; Friday continental breakfast; and all scheduled refreshment breaks. Please see the registration form for specific rates.

Cancellation and Substitution Policy

If you are registered and cannot attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute, a $45 cancellation fee will be assessed if written cancellation is emailed to by April 13. No refunds will be honored after April 13.

Hotel Accommodations

The Westin Riverwalk Hotel, located at 420 W. Market St., San Antonio, TX 78205, has extended a room rate of $204 single and $229 double.  To receive this group rate, your reservation must be made by Tuesday, April 10. To make a reservation, visit TMHRA Hotel Reservations or call reservations at 1-888-627-8396 and mention that you are registered for the TMHRA Annual Conference.

Please be aware of housing poachers if contacted about booking hotel rooms for the 2018 TMHRA Annual Conference. The only TMHRA-endorsed hotel for this event is The Westin Riverwalk. Please note we are NOT working with any other companies to provide housing. If you receive any pirating emails or calls, please refer them to Lavern Gaines at or 512-231-7447.

Parking Information

Valet Parking is $39 per night and $22 per day (non overnight and no in/out privileges). A self-pay garage is also located across the street.

Continuing Education Credit (CEU)

Individuals may submit program information to their certifying agency to determine if continuing education units (CEUs) or other credits may be applied. TMHRA does not pre-certify sessions for credit. CEU forms will be available online at

Seminar Materials

All speaker papers will be posted on the TMHRA website at (under “Events”) for attendees to download in advance. They will also be available on the conference app.

Confirmation/Name Badge

Your confirmation and conference badge will be mailed to you in advance. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CONFIRMATION AND BADGE TO THE CONFERENCE.

Dress Code

The conference dress code is CASUAL so dress for comfort. Be sure to bring a sweater or jacket to the sessions, in the event the meeting rooms are cool.
